The Ulm Museum displays important pieces of Upper Swabian art and culture, the highlight being a sculpture of a lion man dating back to 30,000 B.C. There is also an account of the city’s most famous son, Albert Einstein.

Along the Danube, large parts of the city’s fortifications are still preserved, and the likewise leaning butcher’s tower dates back to the 15th century.
