But Krefeld also impresses with its extensive and numerous parks, with the Botanical Garden near the city center as absolutely worth seeing. A tour to the nearby Elfrather See also promises pure peace and relaxation.
The shopping mile around the historic Ostwall is ideal for shopping. Here are numerous, small specialty shops, large department stores and nice, cozy pubs lined up.
In the latter, you should definitely not miss a taste of the local brewing art, the Gleumes brewery, which has Weizen, Hell and Lager ready. Since Krefeld is laid out on a very large scale, it is advisable to conquer the city with a hire car.
