Goslar – The Imperial City on the Harz Mountains and UNESCO World Heritage Site

In no other city in Germany is Walpurgis Night celebrated on such a grand scale as in the Lower Saxon municipality of Goslar.
Every year on the night of April 30 to May 01, witches, devils and ghosts haunt the medieval town as they have for more than 1,000 years. The marketplace is the heart of the city and a popular meeting place for young and old.
The Glockenspiel in the town hall is located directly on the market square and delights its listeners with its sounds daily at 09:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 18:00. Around the impressive square are numerous cafés, bars and restaurants that invite you to enjoy and linger.
