Discover Qawra by Hire Car
Qawra is a hamlet of the small town of St. Paul's Bay in the northwest of the island of Malta. Qawra is located near Salina Bay; Cape Qawra Point separates the associated bays and hamlets.
Qawra is now the second largest tourist centre on the island. Not only foreign tourists, but also many Maltese rent holiday homes or apartments here during the summer months, as there are mainly apartment complexes in Qawra.
Leisure activities in Qawra
Everyone can get their money’s worth in Qawra as there are a variety of entertainment options.
But you can also have a quiet family holiday here; Cape Qawra Point is a spot of beautiful beach rather than a place for noisy beach parties, and the coves of St Paul's Bay are more inviting for tranquil lingering and enjoyment of the veritable postcard picture.
Discover the surroundings of Qawra
Interesting and simply a must is a trip to Salina Bay's Catacombs.
There are several catacomb systems in Malta, but the Salina Bay Catacombs are the only ones partially visible on the surface. This catacomb system can easily be reached on foot from Qawra, but it is obviously more convenient to do the whole thing with a hire car, for example.
Then the salt pans near Qawra, located below the Order of St John, are also easier to visit.
They are an imposing sight, just as the entire surroundings of the small town of Qawra invite you to look and enjoy, to have an unforgettable family holiday.
