Far up, at the northern tip of Finland, lies the town of Ivalo. In the immediate vicinity, the Inarin-Järvi, the Inari Lake. It is the second largest of Finland’s inland lakes.

You can’t miss them in their colourful traditional costumes. In the open-air museum in Inari, northwest of Ivalo, you can experience the life of the indigenous people of Lapland. The insight reaches far into the past and confronts the visitor with a piece of Finnish history. But soon it is time to turn back to the present. After all, the region around Ivalo still holds many sights worth seeing.
