Hertz Hire Car

Hertz is one of the most successful hire car companies in the world. The history of the Hertz Corporation began in the fall of 1918. Walter L. Jacobs repaired used cars in the US city of Chicago and rented them out.

Five years later, Jacobs sold his business to John D. Hertz, who gave his name to the hire car company. Today, the company is one of the leaders in the hire car business. It is represented in more than 150 countries with over 8,000 stations. Of these, more than 2,000 locations are represented in the USA as well as Canada. This large number of stations in the North American region means that Hertz has an almost nationwide presence there.

Hertz’s long-established hire car stations are not only located in strategic locations in North America, however. In Europe, too, Hertz can be found in almost every major city. The company places particular emphasis on the holiday regions of Spain, Italy, Portugal and Greece. There, hire cars are already waiting for customers at the airports. Since long-distance destinations are becoming increasingly attractive, Hertz is now also available in exotic countries such as Madagascar or Papua New Guinea.

Hertz’s vehicle fleet is made up of over 250,000 vehicles worldwide. The right vehicle is available for every customer requirement. The portfolio includes compact cars, sedans, minivans, convertibles and vans.

Trucks can also be hired on request. Therefore, hire cars from Hertz are not only suitable for holidays, but are also suitable for trips and business appointments, as well as transportation. Helpful accessories can be rented with the vehicle. These include, for example, child seats as well as the in-house navigation system “Neverlost”.
