Maggiore Rent A Car
The traditional hire car Maggiore specifically advertises that it represents a particularly Italian style among hire car providers. In doing so, they like to refer to their own historical roots.
According to legend, Sicilian-born Vittorio Maggiore competed in prestigious motorcycle races in the 1920s on his prized Harley Davidson and was extremely successful. In 1947, his passion for vehicles of all kinds led him, along with his sons Giuseppe and Francesco Maggiore, to open what they claimed was Italy’s first commercial automobile rental business.
Maggiore has a comparatively large fleet
Today, Maggiore considers itself the Italian leader in short- and medium- and long-term car and commercial vehicle rentals. In fact, the numbers are substantial: after more than 60 years of existence, Maggiore boasts a fleet of more than 18,000 vehicles available for rent at 180 rental stations in over 100 Italian cities, airports and train stations. Although the company cooperates with National Car and Alamo worldwide, it only has its own branches in Italy – but really all over the country.
