Since Simferopol is located pretty much in the center of the Crimean peninsula, it is a good starting point to the other sights of the region.
For example, a long trolley bus line leads to the famous seaside resort of Yalta on the Black Sea.
Furthermore, the famous sight Bakhchysarai (city with Muslim architecture), as well as the city of Sevastopol is located near the city and can be easily reached.
