Goldcar Hire Car

Goldcar Rental is the largest hire car company in the Spanish tourism sector. The company’s beginnings date back to 1985, when two brothers, Pedro and Juan Alcaraz, founded a small hire car company in San Juan de Alicante and started with a total of five cars, a Ford Escort and four Ford Fiestas.

Two years later, the partners opened another office. In 1988, Goldcar Rental was founded, at that time under the name “Europe Hire Car”.

To offer a good service to tourists in Spain, Goldcar Rental has a total of 28 offices in airports and tourist centres in the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands and the Iberian Peninsula.

This makes Goldcar Rental one of the largest local hire car providers in Mallorca, the Costa Brava, the Costa del Sol and the Costa Blanca. Since 2011, the company has also operated a station at the airport in Faro, Portugal. Goldcar Rental’s vehicle fleet comprises a total of 30,000 vehicles, around 70% of which are renewed every year. Around 1.5 million customers use Goldcar Rental’s services every year.
