Sights in Rhodes
Dreamlike, this gem of an old town sits partly on a hill. A fortress wall about four kilometres long surrounds the district and reaches down to the port of Rhodes Town. Perched majestically on top of the rise is the Grand Master’s Palace of the Order of St John, which was only fully restored in the mid-20th century and now houses a museum where Roman and Greek sculptures can be seen.
Imposing, too, is the Knight’s Street, where the individual lodgings of the members of the order are located, arranged by country.
The entire old town of Rhodes Town consists of narrow, narrow streets, which are repeatedly interrupted by smaller squares with romantic tavernas and some mosques. Moreover, from the Platia Ippokratu, a picturesque square with an enchanting owl fountain, you have a fantastic view of the entire town of Rhodes.
Leisure activities in Rhodes
