One of the significant sights of the medieval city centre, along with the historic 16th-century town hall, is the Käthchenhaus on the market square. The 14th-century stone building can be partially visited today.
In the east of Heilbronn lies the Trappensee with the Trappenseeschlösschen from the 16th century. It is located on a small island in the lake, this is barely larger than the building itself.
One of the oldest churches in the Franconian town is the Deutschordensmünster Peter und Paul. The 13th-century structure was built by the Teutonic Order and decorated with frescoes and murals in the 18th century by Italian painter Luca Antonio Colomba.
