One of the architectural highlights of the city is the building of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), which occupies a leading position in European research with one of the largest particle accelerators in the world. Imposingly, the round blends into the confluence of the Drac and Is?re rivers.
In spring, Grenoble becomes the meeting point of international jazz. With more than 20,000 visitors, it is one of the largest of its kind.
