Seinäjoki is a city of about 37,000 inhabitants in western Finland. It is located at an important junction of railway lines.

The city is much more famous for its annual festivals in the music scene. Every year in July, Seinäjoki hosts a tango festival that is famous throughout Finland and beyond. A tango king and queen are elected and crowned.
Seinäjoki is also the venue of the so-called “Provinssirock”, the biggest rock event in Finland. This is held annually in June and attracts a large number of rock music lovers from all over Europe.
An excursion into the city’s surrounding countryside is also interesting. With a hire car, you can discover the surrounding villages amidst the typical Finnish forest and lake landscape.
