Discover Prague by Hire Car
Prague is also known to many as the Golden City. It is the capital of the Czech Republic and home to more than 1.1 million people.

The Old Town of Prague
There are several bridges over the river, the most famous of which is Charles Bridge. It was built in the 14th century and decorated with statues of saints in the 17th century.
The Old Town with its winding streets is located on the eastern bank of the Vltava River and has its origins as early as the 13th century.
Next to the Teyn Church is Prague’s University, one of the oldest in Central Europe. The 14th-century Old Town Hall and the Art Nouveau Municipal House are also located in the Old Town.
Sights in Prague
The important Baroque palaces are on the other side of the Vltava River. This part of Prague overlooked by the Hradčany, where the kings of the country used to reside.
Today it is the residence of the president of the Czech Republic. The 14th-century Gothic St Vitus Cathedral lies centre stage. From its tower you can see why Prague is also called the Golden City.
The New Town is mainly home to public buildings, museums and banks. In its center are Charles Square and Wenceslas Square with the equestrian statue of St. Wenceslas.
