There are also sights outside the city walls, such as Fort Revlin, the Trsteno Aboretum from 1492 and Mount Srd. The quickest way to reach the destinations outside Durovnik is by hire car.
Sights worth seeing include the bay and old town of Kotor, the island of Lokrum and the coastal town of Cavtat , which attracts many tourists.
A day trip to the Elafiti islands can be made from the port of Gruz. This ferry and commercial port is located at the western end of Dubrovnik.
