Palm Springs – the gorgeous desert valley in California is not only a popular retreat for famous Hollywood stars, but also an attractive holiday destination to relax and experience.

Afterwards, you have the opportunity to explore the untouched nature on well-developed hiking trails. A ticket costs $23.95. Monday through Friday, the first ride departs at 10:00 am. On weekends, service begins as early as 8:00 am. The last cable car down the valley departs at 9:45 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:30 p.m. on weekends.

Back in town, you could visit the Palm Springs Art Museum. Expect rotating exhibits of modern art and the works of old masters. But the permanent collection, whose repertoire ranges from architecture to Western art, is also worth a visit. The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00. On Thursday, you can visit the exhibition from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A ticket costs five dollars. On Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, admission is free.

Next stop on the city tour could be the Palm Springs Air Museum. It’s located near the airport and features a sizable collection of vintage aircraft. The museum is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. A ticket costs $15.

At the end of your sightseeing, you may feel like experiencing a guided tour into the desert. You’ll drive jeeps through rough terrain and experience nature up close. There are different tours offered at different prices. It is best to inquire directly with the tour operator.
